Off the field, you will need good grades. College coaches also want to see evidence that you will contribute positively to the team’s culture.

Recruiting Tip:
At the completion of each season, athletes should make a recruiting package to give to college coaches. That package only needs contact information, a link to your highlight tape, and your transcript.

Recruiting Tip for High School Athletes:
Coaches won’t always come to you. There are more than 8 million high school athletes in the US.
If you’re serious about playing sports in college, it’s up to you to take control of the recruitment process. 👍
A true utility back in a flex bone style offense. Plays the full back position and runs the ball inside, but can also play the slot position for designed perimeter runs and blocking purposes.

Recruits:
You must earn the recommendation of your high school coach. Not your uncle, your 7 on 7 coach, or anyone else. The opinion of the high school coach goes further than anyone else. 💯
Do you actually want to get recruited?
Be a “nerd” to the point that your whole life is school and football. It will pay off.

Recruiting Tip for High School Athletes:
Try to keep your highlights to three minutes and put your best plays at the beginning. Coaches know quickly if they have interest or not. Also, balance your tape with plays that showcase different attributes for your position. 📽️
Recruits, in your HUDL film, make sure you identify yourself BEFORE the snap of the ball.
If you don’t, coaches may have to rewind so they can evaluate you for the whole play.
Do you think college coaches like to do this? 😳
