Elite programs have talented players that fit their program on campus. That same school is recruiting you bc you’re elite & fit the type of person for their program. That school identified them just like they did you. Don’t be surprised when you see your elite teammates.

Keep your highlighted plays organized. After your 4th game YOU should be really busy DMing coaches. A solid goal is 10 coaches a day. Coaches don’t want your highlights to come from your parents, teammates, or a recruiting service. They want it from you or your coaches.

If you’re lacking film or have limited film due to not playing last fall, understand it’s not your talent that’s keeping you from being discovered, having offers, and no interest. Look forward to showing your ability on tape this season.

It’s not necessarily a right or wrong way to start contacting colleges. If you start out contacting D1 schools & don’t get any responses, the recruiting process could quickly become discouraging. Be open to contacting D2-NAIA to gain interest early on.

It’s important to send your HS schedule to college coaches bc it will help to match up potential dates to watch you live on Friday night on that school’s open date.

As school starts back, make academics a priority & start strong by practicing these good habits:.•Online or in person communicate with your teachers. •Seek tutoring early. •Stay ahead of due dates. •Ask questions in class if you don’t understand.

Understanding where you’re at in the recruiting process makes it easier not to panic. 2025/26’s it’s still the beginning for y’all. 2024/transfers it’s the middle for y’all. It’s not the end of the process until you sign. Staying motivated in the recruiting process is important.
