Students and staff love the "100 Positive Phone Calls" challenge in AP @MHawley_3's community: "Staff write down a brief summary of the positive call so that others can find that student to celebrate them too! When we reach 100, we have a staff celebration."

It was not uncommon to see this picture hanging in the homes of the elderly, way back when I was a child.

There are 11,000 teacher vacancies across our state. Think about what that means for the children in those classrooms. We must increase teacher pay. We can't compete if we rank 44th in the nation for starting pay, and that's a fact. It's time we show our teachers we value them.
