@UWLWrestling Head Coach Dave Malecek was named the NWCA Division III National Coach of the Year Thursday. It marks the second straight season he earned the honor. Malacek has led UWL to WIAC and NCAA III Regional titles this year with nine wrestlers in the national meet.

Asher Sheldon ends his high school career with a 6th place finish. He goes down in Batavia history as the 16th individual to place at the IHSA state tournament. Incredible wrestler, leader, teammate, and human who will do great things at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse

Kai Enos (113) and Asher Sheldon (215) are heading to state! Lots of great performances over the weekend. Congrats to all 9 qualifiers- every one of them competed hard and won matches at a very tough Hinsdale Central sectional.

So incredibly proud of this team! They represented @BataviaWrestler well this week @MalecekTeamCamp. They focused on the process and getting better every opportunity they got. Out of 64 teams from all over the midwest they took 7th in the Silver division. What a great camp!
