Less than 2 and a half years ago I encouraged a big coachable kid to give wrestling a shot. He fell in love with the sport, dreamed big and worked hard to close his experience gap. Today, senior, Alex Richards ended his high school wrestling career among the best in the state.

4 years ago, this young man had to be talked into trying wrestling and he had never stepped foot on a mat. After a high school career as one of the hardest workers I've ever seen, he'll be wrestling at the next level.
"Proud" doesn't even begin to describe my feelings here.
Super excited to announce I will be continuing my academic and wrestling career at Augustana College! Thank you to my coaches, friends, family, and teammates!!! I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
