Talk to @louise_p_king @jfitzgeraldMD about the “double discrimination” in gyn surgical pay. We work hard to provide subspecialty care but average pay is 1/3 less than general OB/gyns and 50% of general surgeons. @AAGL @AAGLJMIG @FMIGS1

Systematic Review Group at @GynSurgery concluded an enlightening session on vag hyst routes! #vNOTES compared to conventional vag hyst had⬇️rate of ureteral obstruction (0% v 8%),⬆️operative times &⬇️blood loss. vNOTES may offer patients an alternative approach to vag surgery.

Female gynecologists are 20% less likely to receive a top box score (defined as a very good likelihood to refer to this physician) than male gynecologists on Press-Ganey surveys. #implicitbias #SGS2023 @GynSurgery @laurahomewoodMD

VNOTES cases had 100% salpingectomy removal vs 63% in standard TVH. Given there’s a higher likelihood of removing the tubes in VNOTES, should we aim to teach this more amongst residents/fellows?
