India’s official limit for PM 2.5 is 40 microgm/m3, much above WHO’s. 😔 Actual PM2.5 is often much higher than even Indian limit. Even monthly avg is often >2x the limit! 😡 In Feb, the US limit was reduced from only 12 to just 9 microgm/m3! 🙏🏼 #AirPollution

US has tightened the annual PM2.5 standard from 12 to 9 microgram/m3. What will it be for India (CPCB is revising NAAQS)?

EPA is strengthening a key national #AirQuality standard for soot pollution, one of the most widespread and health-threatening air pollutants. This will result in significant public health benefits for American communities. https://t.co/5cxRA8JogC

Fine particulate matter, or PM2.5, is an air pollutant that can cause adverse health effects when inhaled. Smoke from wildfires can increase PM2.5 pollution levels to dangerous amounts for humans and animals alike. #AirQualityAwarenessWeek #AQAW2023

Today we observed a clear peak of crop residue burning. Combined ~500 fire-counts 🔥 observed over Punjab & Haryana. But Cities own emissions are the main reason of poor air quality @sumanmorpu @PIBChandigarh @PIB_India @CBC_Chandigarh @CMOPb @cmohry @ArvindKejriwal @VigyanPrasar
