I love RuJinu because while it started as enemies, Jinu seeing Rumi's patterns made him curious about her. They learned about each other's shame, but Jinu wasn't fully honest about his, still ashame about abounding his family. But she still saw good in him.

How is this a “delusional take”? 💀 Misogyny fuels much of the hate Korra gets. She’s criticized for choices male characters get away with, while aggressive, morally gray men are excused. She’s compared to her male succor and dismissed, yet men with the same flaws are praised WTH

Not all black media is good media and just bc it’s black made doesn’t mean it’s absolved from criticism We do need to be just as critical of black media as anything else actually

When the majority gets an once of being “othered” they want to see more of themselves and their personality comes from being a micro-minority. “I’m not like other girls”, type shit of white ppl
It’s not just Asian media. White queers can’t look at popular POC stories without trying to make the story primarily queer (as though that adds all depth) because they can’t fathom intersectionality/the importance of representation that doesn’t center them
