If you have spent the last week watching with rage and anguish as some Jewish institutional leaders signal alarm about the slaughter they have abetted since October 8th, this piece is for you. It's about where we go from here, and why invest in Jewish institution building at all.

Today’s @StateDept sanctioning of leading Palestinian human rights organization for their work advocating for accountability of Israeli war criminals at the ICC is a sink to the bottom I had not seen. The Trump admin isn’t just mouthing Israel talking points it’s enforcing

The reason Palestinians could name it as a genocide so early was because we understood #Nakba and the reason it could take 22 months of horror and atrocity before others would agree with us is precisely because of the Nakba’s elision. #Gaza #Genocide

If not morally shocked, are you not at least insulted? Israel bombs a hospital. Kills several people, including a journalist. Rescuers & journalists respond. Then Israel bombs them. On live TV. Then Israel tells you they never target civilians & were just trying to hit a camera.

Maybe it’s because Israel believes the hostages are a lot more useful to them as pretext for continued genocide. What’s more puzzling is that anyone still thinks the hostages represent any form of leverage for Hamas at all.

A senior Hamas official told me that they don’t understand why Israel is demanding to receive only half of the hostages. They don’t understand why the mediators put such strong pressure on them to accept a deal that does not end the war.

Tony, it betrays an astonishing lack of self-awareness that, having helped perpetrate one of this century’s worst atrocities, you now presume to offer this stale advice on how to end it. The only thing anyone needs to read from you right now is a mea culpa.

The idea that someone would “pose” as a journalist by doing live reporting all day, every day, for two straight years — but is actually secretly a terrorist (when??) — is so stupid it demonstrates how much power Israel believes it has. Their excuse for assassinating a world
