In his Angelus, the pope said forgiving is “not a good deed that we can choose to do or not do” but “a fundamental condition for those who are Christians.”

I didn’t realize it at the time, but my journey to the Catholic Church in many ways began through my interaction with Jews. On my first trip to Israel in 2013, I asked all the Orthodox Jews I met, “Pretend for a moment you believed Jesus was the Messiah. If that was so, which

Today, we celebrate Catechetical Sunday. May God our Father, the Father of Love, fill all catechists—both parents and teachers—with confidence and joy as they proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.

With 15+ students becoming Catholic each year, we restructured so that one of our priests could make the catechumens/candidates his primary ministry. In the first week, he has personally connected with & met with almost everyone interested in becoming Catholic. What a blessing!

Peter Claver ministered to African slaves in South America. He saw the face of Jesus in every man, woman and child who was denied their human dignity and brutally treated by the systemic racism of his time. St. Peter Claver, pray for us. Help us eliminate racism now and always.

"It’s not time to sound the alarm; that time has passed. It’s time... to make a decision: Will we sanctify, teach & govern as believers, or will we continue to travel down the road of lukewarmness, indifference & futility" A challenging & inspiring read: https://t.co/6hbllyUuGM
