This estate is being demolished for “posh flats”’as a local told me (5 blocks 1 - 8 storeys high£”) - and watermans is a very sad shadow of its former self.

In Brentford for the first time in many years. It’s barely recognisable from the town it was when I was growing up in west London. They seem to be doing their best to get rid of any architecture built between the 50s & 80s …

Super morning @GainsboroughsHouse for the Morris/LettHaines exhib. (Coates hung out in similar circles mid-20s). It was very good. & love the new building by @ZMMArchitects - very nicely detailed.

I learn that the building work has been to remove a defunct nuclear bunker!!! (Also some renovation work on part of the building that bodies the police station).
