They are working so hard to work around this to support children but it's impossible for them. This is bang out order. We are a G7 economy and you can't provide a basic essential utility.

Leaking water pipes are at the lowest level ever (down 9% in the last 5 years) but water companies are determined to get that level lower. This is no small task, as there are 350,00km of water pipes in the UK, enough to stretch around the earth almost 9 times!

Something I found upsetting re the lack of SE Water senior leadership is that it was left to a v junior employee, a nice young man, to face brunt of public anger & apologise to them at water site. He seemed to be getting little info from HQ. Heβs facing the public & CEO is not

Whatever your politics, this MP deserves to be re-elected at the next election. He is everything a local MP should be and has been nothing short of diligent and dogged in holding this abysmal firm @sewateruk to account whilst providing vital information they refused to offer.

Let's be clear. Cold and stormy weather affected the entire UK at the start of the year. And most places had it far worse than South East England. So for @sewateruk to blame 'weather' for its absolute clown show, when other water companies haven't closed down supply, is absurd.

I find this quite amazing, @sewateruk. Talk about conflict of interest!
We've published letters from @sewateruk that dispute much of the damning evidence given by the Drinking Water Inspectorate last week. The water company have also commissioned a further review to be undertaken by one of their own non-exec directors.
