Public streets should not be subject to random searches by private security. This is a disgrace. I m very curious to see if the permit for this event authorized or contemplated this.

Pretty disgraceful conduct by @VancouverPD just now. Sitting at a red light in dedicated left turn lane. Police vehicle pulls behind me, activates emergency lights & sirens. I move over to the right, pull off roadway. Police vehicle turns left. Then deactivates and keeps driving.

Last night at approximately 12:30 a.m. (May 9th), a Red Jeep Wrangler hit a cyclist at the roundabout on Watkiss Way near Helmcken. The driver did not stop and the cyclist has serious injuries. We are investigating this crime, please call us if you have information that can help
