Congrats on your anniversary Charlie! 🎤⚽️. Like so many announcers, becoming part of the furniture (even if all the furniture is new, and it’s at a different home 🤪).
10 years ago yesterday I became the (temporary) permanent PA announcer for @GCAFCofficial 🎤. 230+ games, 3 teams, 2 sports, 2 City ground moves, exile, COVID, a return home & now a scoreboard. Things have changed considerably, but I’m loving it! 💛❤️🖤. @AnnouncersPod

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of @LCFC stadium announcer Brad Varnham. Such a great pro and a really quick, funny contributor to our announcers whatsapp group. Will be hugely missed by us and foxes fans as the voice of the King Power. RIP Brad ⚽️🎤

Where’s the weirdest place someone has recognised you are their stadium announcer 🤪🛟.
Used to be growing up that I couldn’t find another #afcb fan in my own secondary school. Floating down a lazy river in Florida and hear “aren’t you our stadium announcer at Bournemouth?”.Sorry I didn’t catch your names but lovely to meet you and enjoy the rest of your stay!

Congratulations Howard!⚽️🎤. We had a great chat on the podcast a few months ago, a great servant of the club all-round as well as someone who loves their announcer duties 🫡.
Long-serving stadium announcer Howard Borrell was recently honoured for his Outstanding Contribution at the End of Season Awards. He was unable to attend the event so he was presented with the award by chairman Mike Goodwin at half time on Sunday. Congratulations, Howard!

Another skill to add to any stadium announcer’s CV…. Navigating live marriage proposals 😬. Glad this one went well but what do you do as the host if it’s a no?? 🎤⚽️😭.
Yesterday during half time a Norwich fan proposed to his girlfriend. 💍 . She then said “Yes” and West Brom fans in the away end started chanting:. “You don’t know what you’re doing!” 😂.

Getting a good look at the action 👀. You’d be surprised some of the places announcers get to sit for the match - some in the gods, some by the away fans, some infront of the away dugout!!. #stadiumannouncers.
