will not shut up about a cool computer i have. Once i got cool algorithms running i'll not shut about them either. This is not a drill. https://t.co/6XQwanEMDT IPv6

I talked about my experience running NEC #VectorEngine s at #37C3 . It was great fun. I covered what vector computers are, a few highlights from the ISA, how to get them running, some HPC tech. The offer of "username+ssh key == access" still stands.

I love getting nerd snipped. I hate myself afterwards though.
@KiwiSoggy Nah that kind of plot is called a learning curve since 1936 and find references dating back to 1959 appealing to notion of a learning rate[1]. DL just rebranded the term "step size" from numerical optimisation and called it "learning rate" instead. 2006[2] vs 2024[3] wikipedia:

If you are serious about #AISafety but are unaware of #modelpredictivecontrol and classical control you are not doing your job right. A thread 🧵 replying to people which didn't ask.
@ylecun @aisafetyfirst mhh that's what you try to approximate anyhow. The larger advantage for safety IMHO is that while an intransparent reinformejt learning algorithm might learn a non aligned mesa optimizer in an MPC framework the optimizer is seperate and well understandable. There is no incentive.
