.@MicrosoftHelps what’s going on with your callback service? I’ve just tried it 3 times: 1. no one picks up, 2. call is disconnected after 10 min 3. I receive a satisfaction survey email. I don’t get to speak to an agent yet issue is described as ‘resolved’ in my history. Help!

This @timatkin podcast featuring @robertjoseph is absolutely brilliant. I was laughing out loud in the middle of the street.

This is infuriating. Whether or not you’re a writer and whatever you’re writing about or working on: your hard work. Stolen.
PSA for writers. A well-funded podcast company was brought (not by me) one of my books with a pitch to turn it into a podcast. They are trying to make that podcast but refuse to license my book (which gave them the idea/scope for “their” podcast).

Just because I am very proud of my daughter.
My latest piece in @ConversationUK provides some context on Tuesday's antisemitic incident in Polish parliament by far-right Konfederacja MP Grzegorz Braun

.@easyJet excelling themselves yet again: as my flight from Thessaloniki is delayed by 2.5 hours, they’ve send me a €4.5 food & drink voucher…only valid at retailers on the other side of passport control. Passport control won’t let anyone go back there. #pointless

Behind the paywall but one only needs to look at the title to feel that warm glow of self righteousness. People with lower cognitive ability ‘were more likely to vote for Brexit’ https://t.co/R6q19GtECf

Well spotted @richardsiddle!
We are extremely relieved that @GOVUK - and @GarethDavies_MP in particular - have listened to our and @TheSun 's pleas not to hit wine and spirit businesses and consumers with another painful duty increase 🍷🍸👏 #WSTA #WineAndSpirits #AutumnStatement

This nostalgic piece reminds me of a question by one of my Castel colleagues about a wine buyer we were dining with, 'Have they all worked at bloody Oddbins?'. 'Yes, that is part of the problem,' I answered, maybe a tad sharply.

Big positive move:sustainability reports being verified in same way financial reports are. Data we can trust. Treat sustainability measures as you do health & safety. Not nice to do but have to do. Thanks @AnneCBurchett Prof Graham Miller Martin Reyes Anna Chilton @EugeniBrotons

I’ve always liked men who wield chainsaws. PS: this is actually a serious post about ‘curetage’ an Esca remedy with 75% survival rate.

How do you sort out a wine or book collection? What do you keep, what do you pass on, what do you drink and what do you throw away? It's harder than you think, argues @AnneCBurchett in her latest piece for my site. Link in bio. Pic by Prateek Katyal on @unsplash

Is it me or is this ad really weird? How can a drink be ‘as tasty as Harrods’? And Prosecco is only ever made from glera, isn’t it?
