@WeillCornell post-doc. Data Science, Metabolism, Alzheimer's disease.

AutoFocus, a project YEARS in the making, is finally out in @CommsBio! When clustering multi-omic data, systemic correlation bias focuses on intra-omic clusters and excludes multi-omic interactions - so we designed an algorithm to help change the focus:.

I don't have a single data processing script in #RStats without maplet. If you're in #metabolomics or really any #omics, check it out!.
We are excited to present maplet, an open source R toolbox for modular, reproducible analysis pipelines in #metabolomics, #proteomics and other omics research! Check it out:

Had a blast working on this cool project - check out our preprint finding biologically meaningful latent representations of #metabolomics data using #deeplearning! @WeillCornell @cbm_student.
Excited to share our new preprint! We trained a VAE on large-scale metabolomics data with n=4,500. VAE encodings associate with unseen T2D, schizophrenia, and AML patient groups. Great work by @daniel_gomari and @AnnaWeese2. #metabolomics #deeplearning.

Recognizing your privilege makes you a better mentor and scientist. Science does not happen in a vacuum. Scientists must be aware of how their background affects their work and the work of those around them. Thanks @daniela_witten for making this so clear!.
As a professor at a big university, a lot of people come to me for career advice. Undergrads ask me — how did I decide to become a statistician and go to grad school? . Grad students ask me — what advice do I have for grad school, the job market, and the tenure track?? . 1/.
