When a young person experiences trauma, their emotional age might be halted, which can cause emotional arrested development . Higher parts of the brain are underdeveloped, lower overdeveloped/over sensitive.🧠🌱

Micromoments are powerful & therapeutic.This promotes emotional currency. It develops pupils & guides pupils. Micromanagement fosters. I don't trust you. Fosters stress, creates anxiety, doesn't solve behaviour issues, & creates a breakdown in pupil & staff relationships. 🌱🧠

Telling a child to focus or study more often does not help if they don't understand the course work. Shame does not make executive functioning any better. Neurodivergence isn't an intellectual disability and people can be really clever but still struggle. #educateyourselfplease
