It’s #ASBAwarenessWeek & the theme is #MakingCommunitiesSafer. I’m urging all residents to complete the Council’s Community Safety Survey; the vision is to continue to build a proactive, data-led response to ASB & your views really help. 📢 Have your say:

Just this week I was discussing the issue of rogue charity collectors with my team & how we can increase our work in this area. Nice to see our efforts to protect residents gaining attention in @myldn . See my thoughts below.@IslingtonLabour

This is excellent news, particularly as Finsbury Park will benefit. I welcome the focus on antisocial behaviour, phone robbery and shoplifting - these are exactly the concerns residents have raised with me.
NEW: Thanks to record funding from City Hall, the West End will see a 50% increase in the number of police officers on the beat and an additional 90 police officers working in new or enhanced town centre teams in hotspot areas.

Earlier this month, I co-signed a letter to @Steph_Peacock urging stronger action on unlicensed charity collections. Yesterday I joined community safety officers at Finsbury Park to raise awareness. We must protect the public & ensure charitable giving is safe & transparent.
