3/ Newcastle, KZN, ward 23:
IFP: 64% (+42) GAIN from ANC
ANC: 13% (-21)
Team Sugar: 9% (-14)
EFF: 3% (-10)
Some independents also in the mix. IFP basically just smashed everyone. ANC at 13% is insane.
🚨 For almost a month, residents of Nomzamo in Cape Town have been complaining about this issue.
Residents have informed me that the DA Ward Councillor is missing in action…
Chantel, when can residents expect an update on when this hazardous situation will be addressed?
If the track record the DA boasts of in the WC is ‘so good,’ why panic over emerging opposition?
You’d think the communities you “deliver for” would happily endorse your “good” record with their votes.
They know, I know, and you know… you’ve failed these forgotten communities!
Today, I returned home to Manenberg and proudly accepted my nomination as
@Action4SA
’s Western Cape Premier Candidate!
My fight now is to create a better and safer Western Cape FOR ALL!! 💚🇿🇦
Stay tuned 💫
Barely a minute after arriving in Kayamandi, residents rushed to voice their frustration with the sewage issues that have plagued their community for years, despite repeated complaints to municipal officials.
An ActionSA government in the Western Cape will reclaim our communities from rampant gang violence and drug trafficking.
Our promise of ACTION means criminals will once again fear law enforcement, and not the other way around.
Vote to end the stranglehold of gangs.
Vote to ensure equal service delivery.
Vote to pull drug peddler off our streets.
Vote to invest in our communities
Vote Angela Sobey for Western Cape Premier.
Vote

ActionSA was discouraged from entering Philippi today without a police escort.
The police in this country and province are under resourced, under-paid, and often under-skilled.
An
@Action4SA
government will pull SAPS into shape- so we feel safe on our own streets.
Khayelitsha, you have touched my heart!
I am incredibly proud of every activist who has committed to our project to Fix South Africa!
The task ahead is now clear: we are going to take our message of Action throughout every community in the Western Cape!
I’m looking forward to seeing our activists in Khayelitsha tomorrow! Together with
@HermanMashaba
we will be engaging with Actioners at the Isivivana Centre at 10am 📍
Thank you

I’ve just joined

Ek vra elke persoon om verantwoordelikheid te neem vir die 2024 verkiesings 🗳️

Good Morning Western Cape! Some electoral math from the 2019 elections:
DA: 1 140 000
ANC: 589 000
Registered but did not vote: 1 055 000
This is why the FAILED establishment parties are afraid. Our job is to give a voice to the voiceless and take Action to

❌🚆 I’ve just visited the Lentegeur Train Station, which lies in absolute ruins!
This is the DIRECT consequence of corruption and mismanagement that has not only destroyed our economic infrastructure but also robbed residents of the only affordable means of transportation!
Today, I am in conversation with
@LourensaEckard
on
@kykNETtv
discussing my candidacy for Premier of the Western Cape.
I appreciated the chance to outline my priority areas as we prepare to govern and build a province that WORKS FOR ALL.
📸 | I could not ask for a better way to spend my Saturday with the Youth of Delft where we are hosting a Talent Show 🕺🏽💃🏽
Let’s just hope I don’t get asked to perform 🤣
We will not tolerate drug syndicates and traffickers who profit off of desperate South Africans.
An
@Action4SA
government in the Western Cape will crack down on these criminals and provide sufficient support and resources to those struggling with addiction.
On Saturday, South Africans witnessed a turning point in our future! ✨
It marked the end of an era of empty promises from the political establishment and the emergence of a credible alternative that offers practical solutions to fix South Africa! 🇿🇦

FACT: A prosperous South Africa and the ANC cannot co-exist.
Voters have given us a mandate to take the levers of powers away from the ANC in metros across the country - and we will honour that mandate nationally and provincially.
Today, I joined our activists outside the WC Provincial Headquarters of the

There is nothing you can do to stop it. South Africans are not willing to forsake their sovereignty by voting for your incoherent Mugabe-esque fantasies!
“Herman Mashaba can't speak for a reason, if

Empty vessels make the most noise.
@HermanMashaba
’s proven track record and
@Action4SA

Throwing tantrums won’t alter the inevitable - South Africans want action!
You know
@HermanMashaba
This nonsense of you attacking the
@EFFSouthAfrica

I am in Cloetesville meeting with Military Veterans who have suffered for years without access to their legally due benefits.
Once again, our uncaring government has left forgotten communities trapped in poverty, without hope!
Ek sal met alle veterane werk vir geregtigheid!
I’ll be spending my Saturday with our activists in Delft, joining them as we speak to residents and traders.
I always enjoy engaging and learning more about communities, whether it’s at town halls or just chatting on the streets, like today!✨
🎙️ Join me for a Virtual Town Hall on X(Twitter) Spaces tonight at 7pm, where I’ll discuss the key points from our offering to South Africans!
Share your questions here, and I’ll see you tonight📍
Welcome to Elton, a resident who happened to walk into the hall where we were having a meeting with the community in Khayelitsha. He sat through our event, listened to our plans to Fix SA, and decided to join ActionSA as a member tonight! 💚

I am humbled to join the Kingdom Reign Ministries family for Sunday Service this morning.
We prayed for God’s blessings and strength for the upcoming election, and for wisdom as we usher in a season of change.✝️

Do you just jump over someone’s wall and enter their home🤔? I don’t think so!
📆 Day 1: I’m finalising my schedule for an exciting week ahead, starting with a visit to Mitchell’s Plain and then heading to the Philisa Abafazi Bethu Centre in Retreat.
I committed to engaging with as many communities and organisations across our province! That starts now✅
📺 Tune in tonight at 6pm on
@kykNETkie
, where I have the pleasure of being in conversation with Lyntjie Jaars about my journey, from growing up in Manenberg on the Cape Flats to taking on the role of being ActionSA’s Western Cape Premier Candidate.
After an exciting and busy week, it’s always great to have the opportunity to spend time in fellowship on a Sunday.
Thank you all for an incredible week. While the weeks ahead are set to be tough, I know that with God’s strength, all things are possible!
📹| The fight against crime and gender-based violence can never be won if we do not allocate sufficient resources to that effort.
That is why ActionSA joins our MPC partners in unveiling our plan to restore the rule of law.
What an incredible day spent with community members in Khayelitsha, chatting about my plans as Premier to build a better and safer Western Cape that works for ALL.
This is why I joined politics, to connect with communities! 💚🇿🇦
Tonight, I joined the family of Kamryn Naidoo, a 24-year-old autistic boy who tragically was murdered simply for his phone in Pelican Park.
I expressed my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the community who are feeling the pain of his killing🕊️
📹 | Yesterday, I led a picket to the Western Cape HQ of
@SAPoliceService
, calling for more resources to ensure that victims of GBVF are afforded protection and assistance, and are not victimized again by our justice system! 🎗️
Our visit to the Philisa Abafazi Bethu Center in Steenberg was truly inspiring.
An incredible opportunity to speak with the staff who run this center, which provides a safe space for vulnerable women.
Their commitment to their community is exemplary! 💫
The fight against crime can only ever be won when we have functioning policing. However, this is not the case at Simon’s Town Police Station, which is severely under-resourced and unable to service its vast jurisdiction.
🎙️The reality is that we can only bring about change by voting for it. May 29th offers South Africans the opportunity to cast their ballot for CHANGE!

🎙️Tonight, I’ll be in conversation with Luthando Madhlopa about my journey and experience as a woman in the incredibly complex world of politics.
I’ll also discuss the lessons I’ve learned as I navigate through a grueling yet exciting campaign for Premier of the Western Cape.
Today, the Multi-Party Charter will unveil its plan to restore law and order and enhance our fight against crime, corruption, and drugs.
No society can thrive when lawlessness prevails!
Speaking to residents in Ocean View has been truly heartbreaking as I’ve learned about the traumatic stories of families, similar to my own, who were forced out of their homes during apartheid.
Despite 30 years of democracy, they speak of being no closer to getting justice!
Earlier today I joined incoming President
@HermanMashaba
and
@Action4SA
National Spokesperson
@MikaNgobeni
to help unveil the MPC's plan to restore the rule of law in South Africa.
Criminals won't continue unchecked and unabated - not under our watch.
The path to prosperity starts as a pupil.
Too many young South Africans are hamstrung from entering the job market due to a lack of skill and sufficient educational experience.
We must give young people a surer start in life.
My visit to Delft highlighted that residents and traders are confronting dire challenges, yet they’ve been abandoned and left to fend for themselves.
The deplorable conditions make it nearly impossible for traders to conduct business in a safe and clean environment.
I spent the day in Ocean View, a community tragically displaced by the apartheid government. Meeting with pensioners and engaging with the community reaffirmed the urgent need for CHANGE!
I cannot overstate that
@Action4SA
’s fight is about the dignity of every South African!
🎙️Tune in live at 7:20am tomorrow as I discuss the race for Premier of the Western Cape with

It’s shaping up to be a battleground province – don’t miss it! 🔔
The BELA bill seeks to introduce changes in our education system that limits the role of parents and School Governing Bodies, and will give the Minister of Education unrestrained power to set school language policies.
Enforcing the rule of law is only part of building safer, more prosperous communities.
An
@Action4SA
government in the Western Cape will invest in our communities so we can draw vulnerable residents away from lives of crime to provide for themselves and their families.
It is our collective responsibility to show up on the 29th of May to elect a government that will deliver CHANGE!
Uplifting our communities involves electing a government actually committed to that fight!

🏥 Our dysfunctional healthcare system has led to a crisis where Health Departments are squandering tens of billions of rands on settling medico-legal claims.

One of the more tragic consequences of the state of our justice system is when victims are turned into criminals. This is the shocking reality for Jenny, a brave woman whom I had the privilege to meet this afternoon. She has stood up for her rights despite all odds!
✡️ Happy Passover!
Wishing the South African Jewish community a joyous Passover, filled with love, peace, and cherished moments with family and friends.
🎙️ I’ll be live on HeartFM at 14:20, to chat about the criminal gangs and extortionists that continue to not only terrorise communities but also constrain the upliftment of our most vulnerable residents.
Congratulations Premier

The residents of Gauteng now have a clear choice for a Premier who will turn the province around and put it back on track!🇿🇦
I arrived in Manenberg and met Yvonne Adams, who was left paralysed after being caught in the crossfire of a gang firefight seven years ago. Now bound to a wheelchair, she resides on the 3rd floor and is forced to navigate down hazardous staircases.
3 weeks ago I launched my Western Cape Premier campaign in Manenberg, where I spent my formative years.
Manenberg remains shut off from economic opportunities 30 years into democracy.
We do not agree with the separate development philosophy this province seems to drive.
Many have asked why I made it clear that as
@Action4SA
prepares to govern, the days of gangs destroying and terrorising our communities are numbered.
This is exactly why 👇🏾 Enough is Enough!!
I'm proud to work with young people like this. The ONLY way to break the cycles of poverty, crime and gangsterism that destroy our province is through education! Sesona is doing excellent work as our WC Student Forum Chairperson 👩🎓

“ActionSA is committed to a student funding policy that recognises the essential role of living allowances in higher education.
We will continue to advocate for policies that support our students’ success and well-being!” - Sesona Xela, ActionSA Students Forum Chairperson
As the search for 7-year-old Joslin Smith enters its 10th day, this unspeakable tragedy has rallied the entire community to find the little girl.
I’ve been speaking to community leaders in Saldanha Bay about the intensified effort now directed towards finding Joslin.
