A little bit of @UCincyMedicine @cincysurgery @UCincySurg history. Reid and Heuer trained by Halsted started the U of Cincinnati residency 100 yrs ago. Our Surgical Oncology service is called the Mont Reid Surgical service. @Mdgoodmanmd @shimulshah73 @GregWilson152 @JBMatthews
Video from 1935 showing a cholecystectomy by Mont Reid, as in "The Mont Reid Surgical Handbook". It was Reid and Heuer that did Halsted's CBDE before his death. Reid seems to have been left-handed. They also do an incidental appendectomy at 4:50. https://t.co/OQ34qb3cXf
