Not every vote is a billion-dollar decision 💸 Sometimes it’s whether to extend a meeting or approve the agenda. And sometimes, stepping out to take a call or prep for the next item gets counted as a “miss.”.

If you’ve seen the numbers floating around, yes, it’s true: I’ve missed 281 votes. Sounds like a lot, right?😱 But context matters. I actually hold a ✅ 95% attendance rate, with 5,473 votes cast out of 5,754 over the last 4 years on Edmonton City Council.

Edmonton’s first Nordic spa is coming to Brander Gardens and why I voted yes. After hearing from many residents and carefully reviewing the proposal, I believe this project offers a thoughtful, low-impact way to connect more people with our incredible river valley.

We should be creating opportunities that keep University of Alberta grads and other skilled professionals working locally — not heading south for jobs in the U.S. Edmonton has the people, the ideas, and the potential. Let’s make sure we keep it here.
