So many bearish takes on DeFi. VC funding is still in bear. Must be an amazing time for smart investors who don't follow the herd. The promise of DeFi is already here. It's an infra that enables financial apps at a fraction of the operating cost. Look at Hyperliquid and their

@krugermacro Gold is unique because it is scarce and also illiquid - you can’t easily dump large quantities of physical gold in times of panic. That illiquidity is what makes it a safe heaven. Bitcoin is scarce but liquid, so it’s a good long term inflation hedge, but short term it’s a risk

Communists banned faith and speculation to create a slave society. Belief in the higher power ("higher order of abstraction" - nerd translation) and ability to make informed bets/investments are two most powerful liberating forces.

Simple idea with profound consequences
Here is a recap of @AndreiAnisimov_'s presentation at Token2049 in case you missed it: DeFi: The App Store Moment for Finance Before the App Store, phones already had apps like calendars and music players, but they were clunky, closed, and built by manufacturers. When the App

There’s a lot of talk about AI getting overheated: overinvestment in compute with models getting more efficient etc. Anyone who tried to generate a video using Veo will quickly realize how far we’re from reaching overcapacity.

Bad actors figuring out how to use TradFi retail as exit liquidity via DATs should be universally hated by the industry. Their actions will harm crypto, inhibit inflows and cause the next winter. That’s a clear example where a regulator needs to step in and avert a disaster.

Hypersurface is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of @TOKEN2049. 🏄♂️ Our Co-Founder and CTO @AndreiAnisimov_ will be speaking on Day 1, Wednesday October 1st. This is a big moment to share our vision. We invite everyone to join the session and connect with us at the event!
Hypersurface is a new take on covered calls in DeFi. Instead of preset vaults, users have full control over strike, expiry, and execution, turning conviction into transparent on chain yield. We are proud to welcome @hypersurfaceX as a Silver Sponsor of TOKEN2049 Singapore.

We were building crypto products with one hand tied behind our back. So much good stuff coming now.
what's crazy is crypto spent 10 years building an entirely new financial system that's 10x better than the old one but we couldn't roll it out because they made it illegal so we had to build in the grey and get political (meanwhile they blamed us for having no use cases while

Orgs building their own L1s is a narrative that doesn’t make sense. Why manage your own crypto-economic security if you can buy it cheaply from Ethereum and still capture all the L2 fees?

If people are bullish on Robinhood crypto strategy. Shouldn’t they be even more bullish on Coinbase insto angle, their VC portfolio and Base? Curious to hear counter takes.

Big news! Hypersurface now supports $BTC covered calls. You can now generate structured yield not only on $ETH and $HYPE but also on the largest asset of all. $BTC liquidity meets Hypersurface automation. This opens the door to a massive new user base in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

That makes a covered call similar to a limit order that fills gradually over a period of time (even below the sell price)

Because the agent knows in advance the price levels it needs to take action at it can execute it via liquidity provisioning vs consumption

The agent doesn’t just dump on the market at 5k. By the time the market reaches 5k it has already sold most of the asset to be ready to fulfill its obligation.
