Ever wondered why roses are planted at the end of vine rows? It's to warn the winegrower of an imminent attack of powdery mildew, a disease caused by a fungus which damages grape berries, and to which roses are more susceptible - hence the early warning 📷 David Duchon-Doris

The grapes are slowly ripening in our vineyards. Gradually, depending on the grape variety, the opaque green berries turn to crimson red or golden yellow. As the berries' sugar levels rise, the acidity drops until the point of equilibrium is reached and harvest begins...
