🇿🇦 Boks to play: 🏴 4 July 2026 🏴 11 July 2026 🏴 18 July 2026 With the Boks in recent history being quite slow starters to their rugby seasons, I would not be surprised if Rassie were to arrange some sort of friendly prior to the 🏴 England match.

To be fair, Scotland rarely play difficult opponents back-to-back at home. And the last time they won back-to-back home games against tough opponents was Feb 2018… Wins vs France and England. And I’m being very kind counting the 2018 French team as “difficult”.

Very happy to see Mchunu back after a long time away from Bok squad. He was playing great rugby before his recent injury and it’s good to have him full fit again. Expect big things from him at the Stormers this year ✅
🚨 Bongi Mbonambi and Ntuthuko Mchunu have been added to the Springboks squad 🇿🇦 Rassie Erasmus 🗣️: “This is a longer tour than usual, and we have two big matches lined up against Ireland and Wales, which prompted the decision to call up Bongi and Ntuthuko. “Both players have

South Africa vs England in 2026 is going to be box office 🍿 England are on the rise. And taking more than one page out of the Rassie playbook.
England have now won 10 on the trot! Deserved winners over the All Blacks. Top notch performance. #ENGvNZ

Damian Willemse a deserved man of the match. Nothing new for him. Incredibly talented but was particularly good in the more traditional fullback asks of him today. A brilliant rugby player.

The Springboks came into this game really wanting to learn things about certain players, combinations and I’m sure tactics too. Unfortunately, that went out the window early. A wasted match from that perspective. But we did get to see players in a high pressure situation.
🇮🇹 14 - 32 🇿🇦 FT Context is everything. Down a man for 70 mins with a second string side, that’s a fantastic result. Unfortunately meant we didn’t get to see lots of the plans and combinations the Boks wanted to test. Meaning this went from a testing ground to panic stations.

What can we take away? 1. Grobbelaar had a decent game under difficult circumstances. 2. Porthen will have to unfortunately wait for a match where we have 15 v 15. 3. Moodie looked good. 4. Kwagga made a big impact. 5. Van Staden got stuck in. 6. Bench is still top 🥇

I’m not counting that Manie Libbok timed out kick against his kick success in my stats. Nobody knows what was going on at the end there.

That was brilliant from Canan Moodie, and he finishes it off with a pass to his old mate Grant Williams to score under the posts!

🇿🇦 10 - 3 🇮🇹 (Half Time) A much rotated Springbok team, another permanent red card this time 11 mins in…. and several first half substitutions. Neutrals won’t see it this way, but winning this match would actually be a massive result. No easy task.

Or is this again a case of referees not being consistent in the application of the laws?

Can anyone answer this question by the way? If the permanent reds are being given for “always being illegal”, and therefore “there is no mitigation” Can anyone explain where Beirne is ever legal in his tackle of Barrett?
If World Rugby are content to have a sport where Beirne can be stood fully upright and drive his shoulder into a player’s face and have a red card overturned; but give red cards against players who bother to go low - then they deserve to be buried under the litigation coming.
