9 YEARS ago this week I started presenting @BBCLookNorth with Harry. I never remember the exact date, only the guilty feeling of leaving my little girl who was 8 months old. It was a dream job & still is. Great memories. & parent guilt never goes away no matter how old they are!

I’ve worked in TV for 20 years & learnt to deal with knock backs. “Too old, too young, not newsy enough. too newsy!”.@timsmithyorks was the first boss who let me be me, gave me opportunities others didn’t agree with & helped me grow. 7 yrs in my dream job & it’s thanks to him. .
