Reservoirs are now above average & many are overflowing
@Hudsonweather Given recent rainfall, that projected next couple of weeks, are the reservoirs filling at a rate you’d consider ‘above average’? I know you’d said winter would need to be wetter than average to avoid potential 75/76 drought. Is it looking good/better in case next year starts dry?

Parts of Yorkshire & Lincolnshire have had their wettest November on record. Of note are new records at Waddington (130mm, data since 1950) & Cranwell (128mm, data since 1930). Scarborough, Bridlington & Leconfield also new records but much shorter data sets.

Big model fail for yesterday’s EC (and GFS) this morning, rain much further North (as per UK Met office model). It was evident at 5pm yesterday rain was further north as it came into the SW approaches. Very relieved I reflected this in my Look North forecasts !
