On vote-buying…. If people had jobs or knew where their next meal would come from, they wouldn’t sell their votes for cash. Likewise, most security agents are compromised due to poor salaries. Only a few do it due to greed. Blame APC’s harmful policies for this criminality. 🥸.

Some observations:. 1. APC was desperately defending 2 seats; LP was MIA. 2. Key opposition parties (PDP/ADC/SDP) had the advantage, but chose to undermine each other. 3. Internal crises in each opposition party weakened the contest. 4. Votes were sold to the highest bidders.
APC is confused and afraid of free and fair elections! 🥸. Keep your eyes on the bye-election in Kaduna State—Basawa, Chikun/Kajuru and Waje. This is the indicative test for 2027.

These elites keep justifying harmful policies. 🥸 . Safety net (sharing spaghetti and rice) is a form of vote-buying as we observed today in various bye-elections. Returning subsidies (petrol, electricity, agricultural, education, health) is better than sharing rice.

Tinubu’s reforms are a mirage. This packaging (by NOI) is just to get loan disbursements from IMF and World Bank—the loans they can't pay. 🥸. Current external debt ($45.98b) + new approved loans ($26.3b) = $72.28 billion. 2025: Debt to GDP is 50.1%.2023: Debt to GDP was 38.8%.
