Hello PS friends, quick question. Does GCConnex not exist anymore? I was looking to find the microassignments CareerConnexions link for someone and can't even find GCConnex anymore??

To be clear, I work a full week, full time, no change of hours or schedule - and already agreed to work on site for all tasks that REQUIRE an onsite presence.

Nothing says "you're a valued employee who we trust" more than a list of completely invasive questions about health & caregiving responsibilities because you requested to continue to work remote to reduce exposures vs working on site for "collaboration ops"

.@DM_PSPC New limits on size of files for e-mail in the PS mean employees can't send important screen shots & scanned files to the Pay Centre to highlight pay issues. These are things that can't go on OneDrive. How is this being addressed? No reply from Pay Centre when asked.

Fellow Public Servants. If you are in the HR/pay world: Form GC-178 Leave application requires an update. It needs to include leave code 952 (care of family LWOP) under the drop down menu. The outdated code 950 (care of preschool children) is still there, but not the new code.

Repeat after me: the absence of violence does not make something peaceful. Again, the absence of violence does NOT make something peaceful.

Hey all. Please share. Parents at home with kids are struggling. The guilt is constant: I'm not a good parent right now; I'm not a good employee right now; I'm failing on all fronts...etc.. Let's support our employees who are also caregivers.

Here we go again with school closures. Seriously, many parents are not okay right now. Employers, be a good human AND a good manager. Re-upping my list of things employers need to do for caregivers right now.

What?!? So now I won't have info to make decisions about keeping my oldest home to help protect his unable to be vaccinated younger sibling? This is ridiculous & just a way to hide how bad schools spread covid & how badly the ON gov has funded schools & not provided what is needed

I can't be the only parent looking at September through December right now and wondering if, between two kids in two schools, I'll have a full week of work without some covid related upheavals and all the stress that comes with it, for myself and for my family.

Hi PS friends, I'm on a working group for Science Data Management & Science Data Literacy. If you happen to work in this area in your respective Dept/Agency I'd love you to reach out. We'd like to avoid reinventing the wheel, if you have something that's working we'd love to know

A lot of people, especially parents (and especially mothers) are feeling the pressure after over a year of covid stress. This is worth a listen. https://t.co/lLFkbHwKDU

I do not understand the move to returning to departmental email addresses. I thought the whole point of https://t.co/KXdWBvyCQX e-mails was to allow employees to move around while keeping the same e-mail address. Why are we now reverting? This makes no sense to me.

Me again, Do I know any Free Agents with User design backgrounds that have an interest in identifying and solving pain points in the Maternity/Parental leave process? I'm looking to initially pick your brain but may possibly lead to a work opportunity :)
