We cannot emphasize enough that the roads are bad. Outside of Ames some of the roads are drifted shut and to add to the mess there are cars abandoned in the roadway. If you do not need to go somewhere please stay home. Visibility is poor and the drifts are high.

We are currently investigating an armed robbery at US Bank, 2546 Lincoln Way. A male entered the bank just before 5pm, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk. He left westbound on Lincoln Way from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries reported.
