It all started a couple of years ago in a discussion with Mario Mencia.@mariomenciacab.about proton transfer in bacterial membranes vs. archaeal ones. I told him we can give it a go, and we found some interesting, unexpected capability of ether lipids to support proton diffusion.

I have never been so excited about a Preprint @ChemRxiv. An idea started 10 years ago, and experiments started nearly 8 years ago, we finally present the first-ever Donor-Bridge-Acceptor system to initiate and explore proton transfer across biomolecules.

I want to thank the Technion in Israel, which will always be my second home and where I have made so many good friends. Making that decision was one of my hardest, and I am sad that the state of my home country has pushed me away from the workplace I love so much. ->.

🧵As the year ends, I wish all my friends and colleagues the best in 2025. For me, 2024 was quite a ride. While some of you may know, I never wrote anything publicly about it. Earlier this year, my wife and I decided to move out of Israel and start a new adventure. ->.

It is one of these black science magic that you don't understand in the beginning how this counter-intuitive thing can work, but suddenly it does. Congrats to Amit and Ziyu for this achievement.
