Quickplay had the option for you to view all the Valve servers that were running the game mode you wanted! And you could join at any time! Invite your friend through Steam and they could join immediately! I seriously don’t understand why casual is getting so many excuses!.

Cool vscript gamemodes like VSH get popular when they release in an update, but die out hard because they’re buried in “alternative gamemodes” in casual. It’s depressing. Degroot Keep and Burghausen take forever to queue for. Player destruction maps are hard to queue for too.

Also, think of ALL the alternative game modes that get no attention whatsoever. Back when quickplay was around, territory control had its own mode upfront. Payload race was INCREDIBLY popular. Now those game modes are barren. Imagine quickplay back with VSH as a category!.

People from different regions take ages to find a match when in a party, matchmaking often throws people into unpopulated servers, and the amount of maps doesn’t help. Quickplay was a far better system for those who experienced it, it’s not bad for people to want it back.

Sorry I know this is meant to be rage bait, but mocking a community effort to ask Valve to fix the matchmaking or replace/supplement with a prior WORKING system is sad.
