After months of planning, the new look Alton Bus Rally & Running Day took place at Alton College yesterday. We hope you had an enjoyable day. Many thanks to all those that attended the event and supported us. Without you we would not have an event.

Alternative roads in the area, some of which are single track roads with infrequent passing places, are NOT suitable for large vehicles or significant volumes of diverted long distance traffic. **Plan your route in advance.**

The signed (lengthy) diversion, which is suitable for large vehicles, is via A272 to the A31 junction near Winchester and then the A31 to Alton.

We have been made aware the A32 will be CLOSED between A32 / A272 junction at West Meon Hut and Petersfield Road, Monkwood junction for road works from approximately 08:00 to 18:00 this SUNDAY (21st July).

There is plenty of parking in the centre of #Alton and on top of that we are running a FREE to ride Park & Ride service to get to the college. Please see the photos attached to this post for the car parks available around Alton and the bus stop are a short walk from the car parks

This year with our new style event which is taking place at Alton College, there is NO parking on site or nearby. **Please DO NOT try and park onsite or nearby, as you will be turned away.**

Feeder services will operated from #Winchester by @FoKAB1985 and #Basingstoke on Sunday for our event. Also, Town services will also operate to get you to & from our new look event. The relevant timetables are attached. All services are FREE to ride. A programme will be available

The Alton Bus Rally & Running Day 2024 is returning next Sunday (21th July)!!!!! Over the next few days we will be posting relevant information about our new look event.

It is just under 9 weeks or 66 Days until this year Alton Bus Rally & Running Day 2024! Thanks for a fantastic respond, we are now fully booked for entries! We are looking forward to our new look event.

It is just under 140 days until the new look Alton Bus Rally & Running Day 2024 takes place at Alton College. Entry forms will be sent out shortly via email and uploaded to our website.

A further announcement regarding an event in 2024 will be made at the end of this year.

The team are considering all of these, along with our own ideas, whilst looking at ways to resolve or sufficiently mitigate the issues surrounding the 2023 event with a view to holding an event on Sunday 21st July 2024.

**EVENT UPDATE** The organisers have taken on board the constructive comments, suggestions and feedback we received when we announced the cancellation of the 2023 event.
