Was talking to a woman this morning who lived in Jordan when I was living in Switzerland. The topic of smoking came up, she told me about the therapeutic benefits of nicotine in symptom reduction from Covid-19. This blew my mind.

Thieves can steal gift card numbers from imbedded RFID chips wirelessly. The criminal has to get close enough to pick up the signal. This was done in a WalMart without them ever seeing the card. It wasn’t the clerk as my daughter went to self serve lane. Some people suck.

Gift card draining - gave my daughter a pre-paid Visa gift card my wife won, $25. My daughter went to use it, it had 3 cents on it. My wife looked at the transactions- they all happened today. Minutes after she entered the store and the card in her purse. RFID signal stolen.

Drove by a bus stop yesterday with 8 youngsters - everyone had the heads down looking at their phones. Sad. Technology is no substitute for face to face communication and independent thought. Is this our new and improved Artificial (Intelligence) World?.
