@SFCA_info Nick Allen impressing again with his intelligent use of value added data & importantly, guiding us on how to translate that info into adapting pedagogy. New JEDI reports for @LutonSixthForm - yes it’s our small way of honouring Star Wars while ‘fighting’ the Empire: Inequality

That’s why I love this @SFCA_info conference- within a few minutes we go to what actually matters the most - teaching, learning and high student expectations- our core purpose after all! Currently enjoying listening to Tom and the “Zest for Learning”

"T levels represent a vital opportunity...but they are not right for everyone". Following today's @NAOorguk report on T levels, we hope that @educationgovuk will allow medium and large AGQs to co-exist with T levels. See our full response below: https://t.co/8GfjXoLMjV

Coverage of letter from #ProtectStudentChoice campaign to CAR in today's @FEweek: "...many students successfully combine a diploma-size AGQ with an A-level to reach higher education or skilled employment". It is really important to retain this option.

An excellent piece - @SusannaRustin is right to call for a dose of realism on T levels. The #ProtectStudentChoice remains concerned that many students will be left without a pathway if BTECs are scrapped. T levels should complement, not replace, BTECs. https://t.co/qw1lvsstp1

They were supposed to boost vocational learning, but they’re not popular with students and the dropout rate is high. Time for a dose of realism, says Guardian journalist Susanna Rustin

Thank you, @LutonSixthForm for the invitation to meet students to discuss my role as PCC, policing and safety in Luton and Bedfordshire. I learnt much. We must listen to and engage young people in policy development more. Their experience, views and insights are important to me.
An excellent morning hearing about the views and lives of young people studying at Luton Sixth Form today, talking about trust and confidence in policing, gang crime and partnership working to keep people safe. Thank you to the college, we will be back.
