The new/May issue of @golfmonthly is just out and Must Play features the ever-improving Alnmouth which I loved played again last Summer - if you've not been, I can very much recommend it !

Despite some shocking weather it was great to be back up @AlnmouthGC last week . We are exaggerating the dogleg on the three-shot 3rd hole, bringing the reshaped approach bunkers back into focus.

Alnmouth Foxton Hall is a handsome coastal parkland with excellent green surfaces. Needless to say, the beachside holes stand out, from a visual perspective, but much of the inland part of the layout is strong.

A windy but thankfully dry day at @AlnmouthGC (made scoring difficult for Pro’s and amateurs alike That didn’t stop @alexwrigley5974 of @HartlepoolGolf winning by a single shot on an excellent -3, 68 The team game saw a superb win for the Team of Mark Ridley on 18 under par 124
