1/ 🤖 New paper hot off the press 🐜 Automated behavioural analysis using machine learning is great, but still needs lots of effort to curate training data. What if a computer could generate that data for you? Say hello to replicAnt https://t.co/LtCipnE59E #OpenSource

Billions of birds die from window collisions. Birds don't see glass, they see what's reflected, like the sky, which seems a safe place. Also, light from windows disorientates birds and causes collisions. What can we do? Find out and learn great strategies:

The force of a window strike at this home left behind the clear imprint of a Mourning Dove. Countless collisions like this take place daily across North America, killing perhaps a billion or more...

Afraid of dogs? Terrified of microbes? Arachnophobia got you? In @PaN_BES, @rahcorreia85 and I explored internet search trends for 25 biophobias. These fears are possibly on the rise due to urbanization and limited contact with nature. Read it #OA: https://t.co/mLUoIZWzDP

Writing Pro-Tip. Write the first rapid draft your proposal/paper WITHOUT CITING ANY REFERENCES. This approach helps you to focus on the narrative and ideas, rather than on explaining previous work. Afterward, you can figure out how existing literature modifies your narrative.
