The mayor elect of NYC Zohran Mamdani will have to win tough battles if he's to deliver his policy agenda. Pity him not too much, though. He has vastly more power than the mayor of London. Thank you to Carl Weisbrod who shared his expert analysis. https://t.co/RzBGNouKNO

My statement of support and reassurance for Camden’s Jewish community following the horrific synagogue attack in Manchester. Our thoughts are with the loved ones of those who were killed and everyone affected. Camden staff are supporting the police at all of our synagogues.
Camden Leader's message following today's Manchester synagogue attack: 👉 https://t.co/G45O6WMnoZ Our community safety officers and the police are stationed outside of all of Camden’s synagogues and are patrolling in the immediate neighbourhoods around them.

I love the way @firstmile (supposedly a @BCorpUK company), thinks it can use our W1 streets as a waste tip - all night and in 30 degrees of heat. Truly world class... @CamdenCouncil

Great report from @createstreets. What a shame the likes of @bt_uk make this work necessary. So much for their corporate ESG agenda...
What do we do about Box Blight? Problem of unused phone boxes lying empty & unused, attracting rubbish? In one study of 64 phone boxes, 4 had been repurposed, 27 were a mess (graffiti, missing panels, etc), 25 were not working & 14 were BOTH in a poor condition AND not working...

These roadworks for @CityWestminster by @FMConwayltd on Charing Cross Road are causing traffic chaos across the West End and all the way to Holborn. No one is working on them. Combined with piles of rubbish, what a perfect welcome to thousands of tourists before a holiday weekend

Excellent report. Lots to go at here - alongside the curse of out of control road works and ghastly modern "phone" boxes....
Many of Britain’s high streets are dirty. This isn't fly tipping, it's our system operating as it's meant to. Businesses must leave waste on pavements competing for space with pedestrians. Let's find out why & how to fix it... a short 🧵

https://t.co/nyqEAKerYv is a good (if somewhat too forgiving) piece on the curse of modern phone boxes in Britain. This is a Hydra-like challenge to cleaning up our streets, driven by cynical corporate behaviour. Gory details here:

After much planning and preparation (and head scratching for technical reasons), I am delighted to say we have *finally* got the outside of Holborn station resurfaced. This was a @CDALDN funded scheme in partnership with @CamdenCouncil. Thank you to them and to @FMConwayltd @TfL!
