Mount Vernon has just opened its Library Commons project, boasting a massive children’s library, ample parking with EV chargers & a community kitchen. It’s being hailed as a “national model” for rural development and I’m proud to have supported it.

I support the efforts of Bellingham council members to get rid of junk fees for tenants. Costs to renters should be upfront and consistent, not hidden and piecemeal. These costs create added barriers to stable housing.
