So for a corporation that makes $100 million in gross receipts in Seattle, they will see their taxes go up by $207k. Interestingly, the proposal is a joint effort by progressive Rinck and a center-right moderate Mayor Harrell. It will be up to the council to decide if it passes.

Above the $2 million deduction, tax rates would rise by about 51% to 55%, depending on the type of business. So how would this work out?.Below the breakeven point of $5.48 million for retail, wholesale and manufacturing and $5.71 million for service, companies will see a tax cut

The tax revamp would raise the minimum threshold for Seattle B&O taxes from $100,000 to $2 million, exempting about 16,500 small and medium-sized businesses (roughly 3/4 of businesses in the city). They would now not have to pay and city B&O taxes, if the proposal passes.
