I’m hiring engineers to join my Tesla App for @teslaenergy and @TeslaCharging. We work on almost all of the Tesla app: Powerwall, Solar, Supercharging, VPPs, ecosystem integrations, IoT, distributed systems, and more 🧵.

VPPs making history — @teslaenergy Powerwalls in Puerto Rico are working to prevent many outages this summer. We built a live dashboard where you can see the fleet of over 60k Powerwalls on the island charging and discharging:

I went super maximalist on Liquid Glass because I knew Apple would walk it back & I wanted to live with the fun & spirit of the design. Here’s beta1 (left) compared to beta3 (right). More subtle. More corporate. Text contrast in some widgets (including native) is worse in beta3!

ironically, now that Apple added more frost to Liquid Glass, beta3 is now closer to visionOS’s glass . but, it’s stylistically worse—I prefer beta 1 & 2’s Liquid Glass. a shame that Apple walked it back. let art be bold! make room on the OS for other apps to be even more bold!.

It’s been a blast helping lead the virtual queue for @TeslaCharging — the best queue is no queue, but hopefully soon we make it much easier and transparent when there’s a wait to charge. here’s a recent weekend test with the tremendous core team

Powerwall served over 1% of the total California grid load last night at 8PM during the Virtual Power Plant dispatch. That’s no small number! I remember dreaming of beating peaker plants with our first VPPs years ago. We’re bigger than that & keep your lights on, on and off grid.

Shoutout to @RockstarGames for actually collating good playlists on @AppleMusic. GTA V’s Non-Stop Pop is a classic and extremely listenable. This is the way licensed music in games *should* be handled.

Ages ago I collated just about every video game soundtrack I found in Apple Music into one playlist, I should have kept up at it, or maybe I should make a focused “best of” variant

@AppleMusic’s gaming soundtrack’s playlist is marginally better because it includes ~50% soundtrack titles, but also includes a lot of music that is effectively “licensed music” for games, but none are titles closely associated with games.

I love Model S so much, and the best just got better . that range is mind blowing.

I agree with this. Play around with the music app & you can start to feel it . the double stacked controls used in Music is also quite interesting
