I have a customer that owes me a large sum of money (>$200k) that’s way past due. They’re deliberately withholding payment in favor of other vendors. What creative ways of collecting do you guys have that doesn’t involve me ending up in jail?

Contractors send us their plans and we return a full estimate summary including fixture package, O&M package, estimated labor hours, and plan discrepancies. I don't love the liability we take on but so far the feedback has been positive

We're always looking for ways to be better partners and make ourselves more "sticky". One thing we've been testing is a full suite takeoff service for new construction or TI outfits that struggle to keep up with bids and/or want a backstop for estimate accuracy.

Another 96 Bradford White water heaters landed in our shop today. This PO runs us ~$100k but I get 90 days to turn it over before I pay the invoice. We’ll move more than half of them within the first month so typically collect within 60 days of landing.
