it's even more interesting how baked-in the circle notion of pi is despite, like e, it being understandable through many other ideas. people always say "why is there a circle in the gaussian integral" and not "why is there a gaussian integral in the circle".

you learn a lot about a person based on their go-to explanation of a constant. pi is *the* circumference/diameter number bc everyone encounters it first that way, but e is usually either "the derivative of itself" or "compound interest".
Of all of the random constants that show up everywhere for no reason, Euler’s number is the strangest to me

another realisation from camp: humans are ferromagnets for desire. i am one atom in a large metallic rock but when a magnetic field (aligned group desire & intentionality) is applied i face the same way as every other atom and suddenly induce an attraction i didn't on my own.
