My favorite realization is that literally nobody else could handle a serious relationship with Sonic besides Amy, and that goes with Amy too. Both of them would drive any other person insane with prolonged contact.

Modern Spongebob is nostalgia blind that shit constantly calls back to older episodes because it can't stand on its own, whereas the first 3 season of Spongebob is legitimately fantastic
I reaaaaaalllly don’t like using the “nostalgia blinded” argument but I genuinely think a lot of Modern SpongeBob hate is due to people being nostalgia blinded about the older seasons
