CAA accredited Sussex based aerial video and photography company https://t.co/uQyt0wTlvB

One of a number of commercial drone operators in the UK to recently sack it in. The CAA moves the goal posts continually, charging people to essentially prove the same competency every year. All while spending stupid amounts on IT & ignoring any actual drone misuse.

.@Heidi_Labour @MikeKaneMP @TahirAliMP @Keir_Starmer today the @UK_CAA confirmed the decision to disproportionately increase permission fees for UK drone operators, going against stakeholder consultation feedback. this will stunt future sector growth & hurts business โnowโ โฆ

@UK_CAA @transportgovuk @AnthonyBrowneMP @UAVHive So I guess no one wants to take ownership of this issue and actually make a response? Do I need formal complaints procedure or FOI to find anything out?

@UK_CAA @transportgovuk @AnthonyBrowneMP @UK_CAA @UAVHive @transportgovuk does anyone want to actually answer the question why are drone operators being penalised by ATC for use of airspace which goes agains CAP722C and what happens to reports that are made about it?

@UK_CAA @transportgovuk anyone wish to enlighten us what you actually do with any reports you get about charging for airspace?

Behind the scenes a team are working hard to push the capabilities of the drone industry and making sure that Government Departments are reminded of the expertise and capabilities of the Drone community in the UK. #drones #dronesforgood

Couldnโt agree more, itโs even more concerning that if they canโt get this under control, what hope have we got come June when everything changes yet again, to a far more complex set of rules #projectdoom
@gorilladrones @Airviewuk @stratusimagery @UAVHive @UK_CAA @BBCNews @SkyNews @itvnews @TomBurridgebbc To be honest, they need to get with the times & either employ people to do the marketing/advertising who know what theyโre doing in the modern landscape OR outsource it to someone who knows what theyโre doing. Attempts so far, as well meaning as they are have been weak at best.

@gorilladrones @MisterMPW @Airviewuk @stratusimagery @UK_CAA @BBCNews @SkyNews @itvnews @TomBurridgebbc Disagree on compulsory for all weights, having some one registering a Barbie drone or drone literally 1 inch long would truly be the most epic fail. Some sub 250g drones would be that small you couldn't even put the ID label on them.

Or perhaps the CAA and DFT need to recognise the short fall with this scheme and address it
@Airviewuk @UK_CAA @UAVHive Had someone tell me their son had passed his 'commercial licence exam' the other day... Perhaps the CAA should have their own official licence stickers which people have to use. They can have "Not Commercially Certified" written below to really remind people
