K Sello Duiker would've turned 50 today. He gave us Thirteen Cents and The Quiet Violence of Dreams before his passing on 19 January 2005. His third novel, The Hidden Star, was published posthumously in 2006. RIP scribe.

Zakithi is an award-winning scientist & is well known for her science communication skills. As a youth in STEM ambassador she engages on current health topics, HIV education, her journey as a black woman in the field and encourages young people to take up space in the STEM field.
