A brief explainer. Tsonga people existed long before Soshangane. The ones who became "Shangaan" were the ones he conquered. The ones he didn't conquer remained Tsonga. In summary, ALL Shangaan are Tsonga but not ALL Tsonga are Shangaan. Clear?.
Soshangane went towards the East and eventually established his own kingdom around Mozambique area and fought the Portuguese forces. That’s where some of AmaShangaane tribes stem from. Note Tsonga people do not come from Soshangane. His story is also interesting #ShakaiLembeS2
