Such a beautiful tribute written by Maya, foggy eyes re-reading, recalling.
Remembering the brilliant Diann Bauer, two years after we lost her, far too soon 💚 https://t.co/3WmGYkahn8

The Taz attempts a criticism of our scientific methods, clumsily making several basic errors. When confronted about their falsehoods and misrepresentations they respond saying it’s only a cultural review.

Aren't our efforts better spent by looking at the construction of the criteria of 'objectivity' (which also says a lot about how we understand ourselves), rather than an archetype that practicing folks in the field don't uphold themselves?

How many practicing scientists actually believe strived-for 'objectivity' is bound to a 'gods eye' view? It strikes as troubling the way this often serves as a target in the arts, design and architectural humanities when it seems long-gone as an ideal in practice.
