Some cold weather would be nice to slow them up a little π

We have a few wheat fields with extremely high aphid numbers on the ears. Is anyone aware of any none insecticide products that might convince them to move on?

Hmm, near inch wide cracks on heavy wheat land. Wheat on sand and gravel really going to start struggling next week as well once it comes warmer again. π

Fixed. Phone help from Ian at Farmplan has found the fault and got me going. Evidently, only a few users with the issue, thanks to Ian π

Gatekeeper users, can you sync currently? I have been unable to since Wednesday evening and still can't. Tellus acknowledged a potential problem yesterday morning but still seems to be an issue.

Well done to the team, not a bad start to growing beet for the first time last year.

Twitter has become highly frustrating. Having moved to the followed mode to reduce all the hate filled crap I now feel like you miss learning the new exciting things from people you haven't met yet. Luckily I follow a good number of interesting farmers already so it's not all bad

Cultivation team heading out after lifting some onions this morning. A little rain to soften the ground would be welcome.

Need to replace my Redback steel toe cap boots. Are they still the way to go with a pull on boot? Got a year out of these, but the base has worn away. Any thoughts greatly welcome, thanks.

Trying to get hold of some spray can lid openers. Any ideas? Funnily enough, there weren't any on offer at Groundswell yesterday that I could see. Aside from that point, Groundswell was excellent, well done to all involved in organising it.

Picture doesn't show it enough really, but of 9 beds of onion trials, the only row not lost to bean seed fly damage had force seed treatment on. The rest without were eaten through April by the maggots.
