An amazing service of 9 lessons and carols last night @CardiffOratory. It looked truly amazing in the candlelight and the choir were wonderful. Thank you for the warm welcome for @JayneCowan and me, and it was good to chat to the congregation in the hall afterwards.

A throwback to the start of November, when I was pleased to attend the opening of the new #Cardiff Filipino Community Hub held at Rumney British Legion. There was singing, dancing and it was great to meet those from the community, and this hub will be a great space for friends in

Great to meet pupils from @Mary_1mmaculate HS at the County Hall chamber today. A range of issues covered in their presentations, especially bus travel (both for public, and for travel to school). I anticipate they will be asking a public question to the Full Council meeting

Lots of events this weekend which will feature soon, but wanted to highlight the Festival of Light and Friendship held at @NorwegianChurch organised by the Welsh Norwegian Society. Carols were provided by the Canton Salvation Army brass band, and the tree looked fantastic once

An honour to lay a wreath at the Lan Colliery memorial in Gwaelod y Gareth, #Cardiff in remembrance of the 20 adults and children who died in the mine explosion 150 years ago. I was also asked to plant a memorial tree. It was an excellent service and congratulations to all

Pleased to be at the opening of the @believe_ods's memorial garden in Northern Cemetery, #Cardiff. Despite the weather, it was a moving occasion to see the garden for the first time - and a reminder of the importance of organ donation.

An excellent Christmas Memorial Service at Thornhill Crematorium yesterday. The singing, both from @Llysfaenprm and also Deborah Morgan-Lewis was fabulous! I was honoured to give some opening comments before the service began. @JayneCowan
